STAR1011
Ultra low power audio/microphone ADC, 92dBA
Description
STAR1011 is an ADC which can achieve audio rate performance (92dBA dynamic range over 24kHz) while consuming less than 110uA during normal operation and 0.3uA during power-down. The ADC is optimized for battery applications where good performance and ultra low-power is required. STAR1011 uses the patented architecture of STAR1010(which has higher dynamic range, power, and configurability) however is optimized for lower power while maintaining good dynamic range. The design uses a continuous time Delta Sigma architecture. The design has an inherent 3rd order anti-aliasing filter making it well suited for use in systems with large out of band noise and blockers.
The IP includes digital decimation filter and digital interface (both available as synthesizable RTL). Standard audio output rates are available through the I2S/SPI interface. The digital interface of the ADC can be customized to meet the requirements of your SoC.
STAR1011 is well suited for Microphone, and Audio applications. It is GDS ready and silicon proven in TSMC 65nm and is optimized for a 1.1V supply. The design can be ported to the foundry of your choice and as such is an ideal block to integrate into your larger SoC.
STAR1011 is available to qualify using a demo platform provided by StarIC.
