STAR1010
Ultra-low power audio ADC, 96dBA
Description
STAR1010 is an ADC which can achieve audio rate performance (96dBA over 24kHz) while consuming less than 200uA by using a patented architecture. The ADC is highly flexible as it can have its noise levels traded with power to ensure optimal performance without any wasted power. Moreover the design can transform between an over-sampled converter and a Nyquist rate converter so as to enable the same ADC to measure high dynamic range signals over wide bandwidths as well as lower bandwidth sensor or battery signals at known time instances. STAR1010 is the ADC block used inside of STAR1000.
The IP includes digital decimation filter and digital interface (both available as synthesizable RTL). Standard audio output rates are available through the I2S/SPI interface. The digital interface of the ADC can be customized to meet the requirements of your SoC.
STAR1010 is well suited for Microphone, Audio, IoT, and Sensor applications. It is GDS ready and silicon proven in TSMC 40nm and is operational down to 0.87V. The design can be ported to the foundry of your choice and as such is an ideal block to integrate into your larger SoC.
